» Quote of the...

"Life is partly what we make it, and partly what it is made by the friends we choose."— Tennessee Williams

"To be humble to superiors is duty, to equals courtesy, to inferiors nobleness."— Benjamin Franklin

» Word of the...

Friendly - Well disposed; Kindly; Cordial.  Serving or Helping.

Courteous - Polite; Considerate.

Sometimes, we take these things for granted in our day to day lives.  Being thoughtful to others with a smile and a hello.  Overcoming an awkward moment, and introducing ourselves to a newcomer.  Being approachable and willing to help out.  Easy to overlook the things our Moms expect of us while focusing on the task at hand.  It's the old "treat others as you would like to be treated yourself" principal.  Sometimes easier said than done, but overall it's the right thing to do.  Make the effort, seek out a fellow Scout you havn't had a chance to get to know and try to learn something about them.  It's what Scouting is all about.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the families, friends, and Troops who were affected by the tragedy in Iowa on 10 June of 2008.  While our hearts are filled with sadness of those lost, we are proud of those Scouts that sprang to action to help those who were injured and in danger in the aftermath of the tornado.  We hope for the speedy recovery of the injured.  We are greatful for the service that those whom were lost have given to their Troops, Communities, and our Nation.  May God Bless them and their families.

The Troop 90 Community

Troop 90 serves the City of Brentwood, Northern California, and its surrounding communities.  Through our active boys, active parents, and active leaders we maintain a fun, safe environment that teaches our young men the values and morals they need to become outstanding citizens in our community and nation.  Although we are a new Troop, our ranks are rapidly expanding, as we see more and more boys discover the joy and comraderie of Scouting right here in Brentwood.  We welcome you to come see for yourself, and meet with us.

Troop 90 meets at 7:00 PM every Monday at Veterans Hall at 757 First Street in Downtown Brentwood, and occasionally at Veterans Park during the Summer months, (Balfour & Griffith by the Water Park).

Check with our Scoutmaster prior to attending to determine where we will be meeting!

Troop 90 proudly affiliates with Cub Scout Pack 90 of Brentwood, California.

Interested in Scouting?
Why join scouting?
Scouting reinforces the skills and values we want our sons to learn while having fun. Many great American leaders, innovators, and artists started learning their leadership skills in Scouting.  Learning outdoor skills in a safe and clean environment is the foundation for all Scouting activities.  Click the "Joining" tab above and click on "core values" for our philosophy.

How do I join?
Boy Scouting is open to any boy between the ages of 11 and 18. For more information please feel free to drop us an email or visit one of our weekly meetings.  We look forward to meeting you and your son!

Scouting is for parents, too!
Active, committed Leaders and parents are the heart and soul of a successful Troop. You don't need to have any special abilities to make a huge difference in a young man's life. Volunteer to help at one of our many events; you'll be glad you did!

Volunteers needed!
The Troop 90 leaders are always looking for assistance in running a quality program for our Scouts. Speak with our Scoutmaster or Committe Chair to find out ways that you can help out. Boy Scouts of America needs YOU!
