Friendly - Well disposed; Kindly; Cordial. Serving or Helping. Courteous - Polite; Considerate. Sometimes, we take these things for granted in our day to day lives. Being thoughtful to others with a smile and a hello. Overcoming an awkward moment, and introducing ourselves to a newcomer. Being approachable and willing to help out. Easy to overlook the things our Moms expect of us while focusing on the task at hand. It's the old "treat others as you would like to be treated yourself" principal. Sometimes easier said than done, but overall it's the right thing to do. Make the effort, seek out a fellow Scout you havn't had a chance to get to know and try to learn something about them. It's what Scouting is all about. |
